That is the second Gregory McMichael and his son Travis McMichael of Georgia have been arrested in the taking pictures death of unarmed black jogger Ahmaud Arbery, in accordance with a report.
Video and pictures present the pair being handcuffed Thursday evening by officers from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, in accordance with First Coast Information.
The 2 males have been each charged with homicide and aggravated assault in Arbery’s killing.
Gregory, 64, and Travis, 34, each armed, approached Arbery on Feb. 23 on a road in Brunswick, Georgia, earlier than the youthful McMichael fatally shot the jogger, in accordance with the GBI.
The case sparked nationwide consideration this week when video of the confrontation emerged on Tuesday.
The 28-second clip shows the daddy and son strategy Arbery in their pickup truck earlier than the taking pictures.
The arrests come after S. Lee Merritt, a lawyer for Arbery’s household, earlier Thursday known as the taking pictures death a “trendy lynching,” and mentioned the household is demanding justice.
