GOP Congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik — whose video about “the fact for black individuals” in Baltimore went viral — will speak at this week’s Republican Nationwide Conference, officers introduced Sunday.
Klacik, who’s operating for the late-Rep. Elijah Cummings’ seat, caught the president’s consideration together with her video, during which she blamed Democrats who’ve ruled town for many years permitting it to turn into a cesspool of poverty and crime.
“Kimberly will work with the Trump Administration and we’ll carry Baltimore again, and quick,” the president posted on Twitter Tuesday. “Don’t blow it Baltimore, the Democrats have destroyed your metropolis!”
“That is the fact for black individuals each single day: crumbling infrastructure, deserted houses, poverty and crime. Baltimore has been run by the Democrat Social gathering for 53 years. What’s the results of their many years of management?” stated Klacik, who’s on the RNC slate to speak Monday.
She is difficult Rep. Kweisi Mfume, the previous head of the NAACP.
Additionally talking at the conference will likely be New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who jumped events from Democrat to Republican final December.
He’s scheduled to speak on the nominating conference’s ultimate evening Thursday.
Van Drew, whose district went for Trump in 2016 by a 5 % margin, stated he didn’t assume the president’s dealings with Ukraine warranted impeachment.
He was considered one of two Democrats who voted towards the measure within the Home. Rep. Collin Peterson of Minnesota was the opposite.
Van Drew is being challenged by Democrat Amy Kennedy, the spouse of former Rep. Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island.
