Virginia man accused of killing his friend whom he mistook for an intruder

A Virginia man was arrested for allegedly fatally capturing his friend who he mistakenly thought was an intruder, a report mentioned.

Matthew Allen Sharpf, 37, was charged with voluntary manslaughter for the Tuesday demise of 37-year-old pal Jonathan Hankins, WRIC reported, citing the Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Workplace.

Hankins confirmed up at Sharpf’s house in Dinwiddie County at about 10:55 p.m. and with out saying himself was going to knock on his friend’s door to wake him up, authorities mentioned.

Sharpf, considering any individual was making an attempt to interrupt into his house, then allegedly shot Hankins on the porch, the report mentioned.

Authorities mentioned Sharpf’s household was sleeping on the time.

After the capturing, Sharpf’s spouse known as 911.
