According to reports, the legal team of Tiger King star has filed new docs in which they have asked a judge to allow him to post bond because he says he has a slew of health issues including high blood pressure, and atrial fibrillation. Doc Antle’s legal team further said that his health complications can make it risky for him to be behind bars and added that the ongoing virus would exacerbate his heart and circulation problems. It was also added that Antle’s elderly mother, who has dementia, is scheduled to be back under his care soon and that he has animals to look after too.

Antle’s legal team went on to say that his Myrtle Beach Safari resort is liable to fall into a state of disarray without his leadership. They requested the judge to let the Tiger King star out on bond. Also, the doc pointed out that he has had a clean criminal record and added that he is a flight risk because he has the resources to make a clean gateway. The charges against Antle were expected to be formally announced during a court proceeding Monday afternoon in Florence, South Carolina. As mentioned, the charges relate to money laundering.

Animal rights advocates have accused Antle of mistreating lions and other wildlife. In Virginia in 2020, the 62-years-old was indicted on animal cruelty and wildlife trafficking charges.
