Disney+ hasn’t said what will happen to Willow yet, but we’re hopeful that this will change in the next few weeks. Different fans of the 1988 movie, which the program is based on, have different opinions about the TV show.
The fact that people have different opinions hurts the chances of getting a second season, since fans naturally have a big say in whether or not a show is renewed. Even though Disney+ hasn’t said much about Willow yet, the creative team has made it clear that they can’t wait to keep the story going. Everyone sets out to save Kit’s brother in a new enemy. They are successful, but the happenings of the season 1 end suggest that Willow season 2 will have more story to tell.
Willow season 2 : Release Date
There is no date set for when season 2 of Willow will be available. In the best case, the show has just been pushed back, but Jon Kasdan’s words make it sound like filming for the new season for Willow won’t begin for at least a year, and that’s not a promise. Since this is so, Willow season 2 might not come out until late 2025 or earlier 2026 at the latest.
Willow season 2 : Trailer release
With no extension, it’s hard to say when a clip for the second season will come out or the show will start. But Disney+ has a pretty good track record of renewing shows every year. If the show is extended, fans can probably look forward to a trailer near the end of 2023 and the first episode around the time of the holidays as well as early 2024.
Willow season 2 : Cast
Even though Kasdan stated that the stars at Willow season 2 aren’t tied down by contracts, we expect to see some known faces return. We think the following people will be back for season 2 of Willow:
- Willow Ufgood played by Warwick Davis
- Willow, he’s the main figure.
- Elora Danan played by Ellie Bamber
- In the first season, she was very important.
- Princess Kit Tanthalos played by Ruby Cruz
- She’s expected to come back as a major figure.
- JADE CLAYMORE played by Erin Kellyman
- She’s likely to play the part again.
- Boorman, played by Amar Chadha-Patel
- In season 2, he might show up again.
- Dempsey Bryk plays Prince Airk Tanthalo.
- Most likely, he’ll come back.
- Queen Sorsha, played by Joanne Whalley
- Her comeback as a key player is expected.
- Tony Revolori plays Prince Graydon.
- He’s also likely to come back for the next season.
Willow season 2 : Storyline
The fight between Willow, Elora, and the Crone was won, but they haven’t won the war yet. At the very end of season 1, it is revealed that Prince Graydon, who was thought to be dead, is not only alive but also seems to be being tempted by the Crone.
At the same time that a vision of a bad Elora tells him to fight with her to bring “light” to the world, Prince Graydon is getting ready to fight his old friends in a war that seems more important than ever.
Does this indicate that the Crone is still alive? Does Graydon now bring the Wyrm into the world? These are some of the queries we hope season 2 of Willow will solve. The heroes’ quest was over at the end of Season 1 of Willow.
To save Kit’s brother Airk from the evil Crone (Jane Carr), Willow, who was Kit, Jade, an E Lora, Gray Don, and Thraxus had to get past many dangerous hurdles. In season 1, she was the main bad guy. She wanted to turn Airk, a member from the royal line, into the Harbinger about the Wyrm, the greatest foe that she served.
The primary protagonists of Willow fought one last time, and the Crone threw Graydon was (Tony’s Revolori) into another world, which seemed to kill him. She then turned her attention to the others.
After a long time, Elora finally learned how to regulate her magic and beat the Crone. The woman, Kit, Willow, or Thraxus all worked together to free Airk from the Wyrm’s grasp. The Wyrm’s only link to the outside world was cut off when the Crone died. The group went home, swearing to remember Graydon’s sacrifice.
In the last scene, however, Graydon woke up in a different world, having lived. He witnessed the Wyrm as Elora there and she asked him for help. The Order that includes Wyrm is still planning things, and it won’t be easy to get rid of them for good. That may not be the main plot point of Willow season 2, but more seasons may be needed to end the story.
